Skala is a seaside village in Kefalonia and the largest resort on the southern part of the island. Every summer, it attracts a large number of visitors.

In Skala, you’ll find luxury hotels with thousands of beds, as well as rental rooms to suit all tastes and budgets.

The beach of Skala is one of the most beautiful and busy beaches on the island. Located beneath the village and in recent years it has great tourist development, attracting visitors from all over the world.

It is a huge beach length, ideal for water sports, and has deep blue water. It has been awarded the blue flag. It is sandy, organized in many places, but also free in much of it.

You can reach the beach, descending the stairs located in the central square of the village. There, the Manor House restaurant is waiting for you over the square!

The center of Skala is separated from the beach by a strip of pine forest that provides coolness and creates a particularly pleasant environment in the coastal zone. The village square, with benches in the shade of pine trees, is a good meeting point, with views of the sea and the village.

Every day, small cruise ships depart from the beach for organized excursions to the neighboring islands of Ithaca and Zakynthos, as well as to Fiskardo in northern Kefalonia.

In the evenings, visitors stroll through the bustling village center and along the beach. The moon rises large and impressive from the sea, and everything is bathed in its golden light!
